KKinnio

Terms of Use

By creating a Rally or replying to one, you agree to these terms. Kinnio is operated from Australia and is currently in beta.

What Kinnio is

Kinnio is an event organisation platform only. It helps one organiser share a plan and collect replies. Kinnio is not an event organiser, venue, ticket seller, travel service, payment provider or booking agent, and is not a party to any plan made using it.

Acceptable use

You may use Kinnio for lawful personal or work organising. You may not use it to send unsolicited or bulk messages, to harass, threaten or defame anyone, to impersonate someone else, to collect personal information under false pretences, to upload unlawful or offensive content, to scrape or overload the service, or to attempt to access data that isn't yours.

Organiser responsibilities

The organiser of a Rally is responsible for the plan itself: choosing the activity, venue and time, making any bookings, arranging transport, meeting any safety or insurance requirements, and handling anything that goes wrong on the day. You are also responsible for only inviting people who expect to hear from you, and for handling the details your guests give you — including email addresses, dietary requirements and accessibility needs — respectfully and only for that plan.

Attendee responsibilities

If you reply to a Rally, you're responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, for turning up (or letting the organiser know you can't), and for your own conduct and safety at the event. Kinnio does not check who anyone is — a name on a guest list is only what that person typed. Use your own judgement about the plans and people you engage with, and settle any money between yourselves directly.

Accounts

Organisers need an account. Keep your password to yourself — you are responsible for activity under your account and should tell us promptly if you think it has been compromised. Accounts are for people aged 16 and over. Guests do not need an account and only need the Rally link.

Rally links

A Rally link is unguessable and is excluded from search engines, but anyone who has the link can open the Rally. Share it only with the people you are inviting.

Your content and intellectual property

You keep ownership of what you write. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to store, copy and display it as needed to operate the Rally and provide the service. You confirm you have the right to share whatever you upload or enter, including other people's contact details.

Kinnio's name, logo, design, software and content remain ours. You may not copy, resell or reverse-engineer the service, or use our branding without permission.

What Kinnio is not responsible for

To be explicit, Kinnio facilitates communication only. We are not responsible for:

  • the events themselves, or whether they happen at all
  • venues, their condition, suitability, safety or availability
  • transport to, from or during an event
  • payments, splits, debts or reimbursements between attendees
  • the conduct, identity, honesty or suitability of any organiser or attendee
  • injury, illness, loss or damage to property arising from an event
  • cancellations, no-shows, changes of plan or late arrivals
  • disputes between organisers and attendees, or between attendees

We do not guarantee attendance, do not verify attendees, do not process or hold money, and do not make bookings on anyone's behalf. Shared-cost figures in Kinnio are a record for your convenience — no money moves through Kinnio.

Beta software

Kinnio is beta software. Features may change, break or be removed without notice, and data loss is possible. Don't rely on Kinnio as the only record of anything important — confirm critical details directly with your group.

Service availability

Kinnio is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it running and to deliver emails reliably, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service, timely email delivery, or that every message reaches its recipient. We may suspend the service for maintenance.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded. Where the law allows us to limit liability, our total liability to you for any claim relating to Kinnio is limited to resupplying the service or, at our option, A$100. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of data, or loss arising from an event organised using Kinnio.

You agree to indemnify us against claims brought by others arising from your use of Kinnio, the events you organise, or content you enter.

Termination

You can delete a Rally at any time, and guests can remove their own reply from a Rally page. You can request full account deletion on the account deletion page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, abuse the service, or put other users at risk — usually with notice, immediately where the risk is serious.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Kinnio develops. Continuing to use Kinnio after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state and the Commonwealth of Australia.
